Dacarbazine   -  Antineoplastic

  
Manufacturers  of  Dacarbazine injection, an oncology drug, used in the treatment of Leukaemia, Hodgkin, malignant melanoma

  

 Indication :

Malignant melanoma, Hodgkin's disease, soft tissue sarcomas.

  

 Pharmaco-Kinetics :

It is administered intracenously, about 505 is excreted intact in urine by tubular secretion.

  

 Contraindication :

Previous severe myelosuppresion.

  

 Adverse-Effects :

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anaphylaxis bone marrow depression, alopecia, urticarial rash, photosensitivity, hepatic necrosis, renal impairment, thrombocytopenia, blurred vision, flu like syndrome, myalgias & malaise may occur during treatment.

  

 Special Precaution :

Hepatic/renal impairment, skin and eye contact, haematological monitoring and restrict food intake 4-6 hours prior to therapy.

    

 Dosage :

4.5mg / kg per day for 10 days, repeated every 4 weeks.

     

 Duration of action :

Initial half-life 20 mins; terminal half-life 5 hours.

  

 Strength & Packing :

200mg Injection (per vial).
